My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cindy

Introducing Cindy, the delightful Husky Shepherd mix born February 21, 2022 who will melt your heart with her sweet nature and cuddly personality! Cindy is a loving and devoted companion, always eager to shower her human with affection. Her playful antics and joyful spirit make her an irresistible addition to any household. Whether she's welcoming you home with happy barks or snuggling up for a cozy cuddle, Cindy's presence is sure to brighten your day.

About Cindy

Cindy is the perfect blend of love and playfulness. She has a great sense of humor and isn't shy about expressing her happiness. Her playful personality shines through during playtime, and she loves to entertain with her funny antics. Cindy knows some basic commands and is eager to learn more, making her an excellent candidate for further training. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, both big and small, and enjoys exploring the outdoors and observing the world from her favorite window perch.

Breed Information: Husky Shepherd Mix

The Husky Shepherd mix combines the best traits of both breeds. Huskies are known for their intelligence, friendliness, and adventurous spirit, while Shepherds bring loyalty, trainability, and protective instincts to the mix. Rin Tin inherits these wonderful qualities, making him a smart, loving, and devoted companion. Both breeds are energetic and require regular mental and physical stimulation to stay happy and healthy.

What to Expect When Adopting a Rescue Dog

Adopting a rescue dog like Cindy is a rewarding experience that brings love and companionship into your life. Here are some important considerations:

  • Adjustment Period:
Cindy will need some time to settle into her new environment. Patience and understanding will help her feel secure and loved.
  • Training:
Consistent training and positive reinforcement are essential for Cindy to continue learning household rules and become a well-mannered companion. She may need some additional guidance around food sharing due to her past experiences.
  • Health Check-Ups:
Cindy has all her shots, has been dewormed, and is scheduled for spaying next week. Regular veterinary visits are important to ensure she remains healthy and thriving.

Owner's Responsibilities

Welcoming Cindy into your home involves several responsibilities to ensure her happiness and well-being:

  1. Provide a Loving Home:
Make Cindy feel like a cherished family member by offering love, attention, and a secure environment.
  2. Regular Exercise:
Engage Cindy in daily walks and outdoor activities to keep her physically active and mentally stimulated. Her medium energy level makes her an ideal companion for leisurely strolls and playtime with other pets.
  3. Balanced Nutrition:
Feed Cindy a nutritious diet suitable for her breed and size to support her overall health, being mindful of her tendency to hog food due to past experiences.
  4. Grooming:
Routine grooming will help maintain Cindy's beautiful coat and enhance her appearance.
  5. Socialization:
Encourage Cindy to interact with other dogs and people to develop her social skills and confidence.

Cindy is eagerly waiting for her forever home, where she can share her affectionate nature and playful energy with a family that cherishes her as much as she will cherish them. Are you ready to make Cindy your new best friend?

More about this rescue

We are dedicated to saving dogs from high kill shelters, strays, owner surrenders and hoarders. We have been saving animals since December 2016. We hold weekly adoption events at various pet stores and pet expos. We hire dog walkers to walk our dogs and we have volunteers who help us weekly. Many of our dogs go to boarding and training to become adoptable and work on their behavioral issues. All our dogs are assessed to find a great family match.

All dogs receive all necessary medical attention and all dogs are vetted.
