**Note: Currently Cancho is in Korea, but we are looking for his forever home in Toronto. His flight from Korea to Toronto is scheduled for March 18.

Background: Cancho was rescued from a city pound in Chuncheon, Korea, as part of the “Save 100 Dogs” project this summer. Since then, he has been living at our partner shelter alongside other dogs, patiently waiting for his forever home.

Personality and Socialization: Cancho is a friendly and sociable boy with a moderate energy level. He is not shy around strangers and loves to be around people: he is very mellow, sweet and affectionate. He gets along well with other dogs, especially those his size, and loves to play. Cancho would thrive with a canine companion but would also be happy soaking up love as the only pet. His affectionate and adaptable nature makes him a wonderful family dog.

Behaviors: Cancho is very smart, obedient, and eager to please his humans. He enjoys following his people around while also appreciating quiet time on his own. He is good in the car, at vet checkups, and during bath time, making him an easy companion for routine care. While his leash-walking experience is limited, he walks well with trusted humans and enjoys outdoor adventures. Indoors, he is calm and quiet, making him a well-balanced and easy-going companion. He has no experience with cats or young children.

Health and Diet: Cancho is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. He takes monthly external and internal parasite preventatives and has passed a full veterinary check. He is in great health and ready for adoption. He eats dry kibble twice daily and has no known allergies.

Ideal Home: Cancho would thrive in a home with another friendly dog for companionship but could also do well as a solo pet if he receives plenty of love and attention. Since he’s still young and learning, he needs a patient family willing to guide him with gentle training and positive reinforcement. His ideal home would offer outdoor adventures, human interaction, and a consistent routine. A household where someone is home often—whether retired or working from home—would be ideal. With his sweet and adaptable personality, Cancho is ready to become a devoted and joyful member of a loving family.
