Meet Aquamarine, a cat with a personality as unique as his name. This adult feline is a perfect blend of mellow and curious. He's a little shy at first, but don't let that fool you. With a little patience, he'll soon show you his charmingly inquisitive side. He enjoys the company of other cats, making him a great addition to a multi-cat household. However, he also appreciates quiet moments and would do well in a calm environment. As he's a little reserved, he needs some time to warm up to new surroundings and people. But once he does, you'll find a loyal companion in Aquamarine. His gentle demeanor and curiosity make him an engaging pet, providing endless moments of joy. All adoptions must be done in person. Prospective adopters must meet the pet and complete the adoption application and questionnaire during the initial visit to our shelter at 2802 W Central Park Ave, Davenport, IA.

The Humane Society of Scott County (HSSC) has been an advocate for the humane care of all animals in Scott County, Iowa, since 1902.

An average of 500 pets arrive at the HSSC each month. About 80% come to us as strays and the rest are surrendered by owners who can no longer keep or care for their pets.

The HSSC is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization funded entirely by donations, adoption fees and a fee charged to the city and county for the care of the animals.
