Meet Piston, the gentle soul of her litter. She’s a little shy at first, preferring to let her brother Clutch be the brave explorer, but once she sees that new toys or places are “approved,” she’s all in on the fun!

Piston's gentle nature helps balance her brother's boundless energy and desire for nonstop playtime. These 5-month-old siblings (Piston and Clutch) bring the best out of each other and would prefer to find a forever home together.

Submit Application

Interview

FFNR will review your application and ask any necessary follow up questions. Then you will be put in contact with the animal's foster.

3.
Meet the Pet

You and the foster will schedule a meet and greet time that works for everyone. This meet and greet will take place at the foster's home.

Familiars Foster Network & Rescue encourages an adoption process that matches pets with families through dialogue and conversation. We believe there is a sweet spot between a completely hoop-free process and a painstakingly invasive one. We do not conduct formal vet checks, landlord checks, home visits, or background checks - but instead work to communicate with and educate the potential adopter from a place of empathy and trust. This philosophy is backed by the ASPCA. Our adoption process also empowers our fosters to make the final decision on if the applicant is the best fit for their foster animal based on those conversations and interactions.

Familiars Foster Network & Rescue is a completely foster-based 501(c)3 rescue specializing in the care of neonatal kittens and pregnant or nursing cats. We hope to relieve some of the pressure from high intake animal shelters in our area by providing placement for these sensitive populations that will not thrive in a typical shelter environment. We serve southern WI and northern IL.
