Theodore is Looking For: A forever home - could it be with you? I heard about another Theodore who was a former President, but all I want is a loving family to give me belly rubs and cuddle in bed with. I would love to go to obedience class with you so I can show off how smart I am. Other dogs have told me that they get treats and belly rubs when we're done! So what do you think - do you have room in your life for a sweet boy like me?
What My Foster Says About Me: Theodore is a sweet pup with a whole lot of energy and will need consistent exercise and play. He's very food motivated and I got the impression he may have been in a home before and appears to be a quick study. On a day out, Theodore walked with a good pace but didn't pull too hard on the leash and generally responded to corrections. He did well at the dog park, too. He liked playing fetch but seemed to love playing with two of the other dogs even more. He played extremely well and didn't push too hard.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
