Taco is ready for adoption

Taco is a scruffy 17# terrier mix who makes the silliest expressions. His ears and teefers add to the cuteness. At 9 years old he found himself in a over crowded shelter due to his owner passing away.

Taco took a few days to feel comfortable in his new surroundings. He is more comfortable around women than men. I think with a patient man in the house and treats he could easily be won over. Once he feels safe he is the sweetest love. He has gotten along with our dogs, cats, and rabbits. He likes to just sit back and watch, but if one of the dogs initiates play he will gladly join in. Taco does not require a fenced yard. He is still working on his housetraining. Being recently neutered has helped. Currently he wears a bellyband, but he is doing much better and I feel another dog in the home will help him learn a routine and build his confidence. Children in his new home must be respectful of his space. For this reason Children over the age of 10 will be best.

Taco has a fun, silly, and cute way about him. He is wonderful in a crate and wants just to be with his people. If you have the time and patience Taco might be the one for you. 

Taco's adoption fee is $200. He is fully vetted for 1 year, neutered, microchipped, & on monthly preventatives.

Applications for adoption are at www.trackingintheshadows.com.  Please live within 1 hour of Cassopolis, MI or Elkhart, IN.  Once approved, we will set up a day/time for you to meet Taco.  Please be ready to take him home within 1-3 days.

*We do not accept electric/underground fences. All dogs & cats in the home must be spayed/neutered & up to date on core vaccines & preventatives in order for your application to be approved.*
