Meet Sock Puppet, the definitely-not-cute tiny gremlin who somehow ended up in a dog’s body. With his striking resemblance to a New York sewer rat, he’s sure to turn heads—mostly in confusion. But don’t let his small size fool you. Sock Puppet has the confidence of a 100-lb Great Dane and the attitude to match. He loves other dogs, but he’s scrappy, so be prepared for some entertaining displays of bravado. This little gremlin has two speeds: full-throttle zoomies and please-hold-me-while-I-nap. When he’s not declaring war on inanimate objects or annoying the older dog in the home, he’s the cuddliest little dude around. If you like a dog who thinks he’s tougher than he is but then melts into a snuggle puddle, he’s your guy. Sock Puppet is learning crate training (translation: he has opinions about it). He also loves food—so much so that he requires a slow feeder to keep him from inhaling his meals like a tiny vacuum. Naturally, this leads to dramatic tantrums at the food dish when he can’t shovel kibble into his face fast enough. It’s truly an Oscar-worthy performance. House training? A work in progress, but he’s getting there. Leash skills? He’s figuring it out. Commands? He’s mastered “sit” because, shockingly, food exists. If you’re looking for a tiny, dramatic, slightly unhinged best friend with a perfect balance of chaos and cuddles, Sock Puppet is waiting for you. Just don’t expect a quiet life—he’s got big plans.
Requirements: No special requirements
Adoption Fee: $600 + tax. This includes neuter/spay, current vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm/tick testing in dogs over 6 months of age, deworming, microchip and current preventatives
