My name is Kodi!

Kodi is a young collie/chow/pit bull mix who came to the shelter as an owner surrender. He's only 5-6 months old. He will be a pretty large dog at maturity. He was surrendered as his owner realized that she didn't have the time he requires for training and exercising. He has been vet checked and neutered and his fee is $150.

Kodi is a pretty well mannered boy for still being young. He will require basic obedience training and exercise and would do best in a home in which he's not left alone for long hours. Kodi did live with cats and older kids. He has done well with other dogs, too. He does have a thick and shaggy coat and will require regular brushing.

NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. Keep an eye on your emails if you apply.

We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.

We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
