Looking for a low-maintenance, high-love companion? Meet Sloane, a 6-year-old mixed breed sweetheart with short legs, a big heart, and an even bigger capacity for cuddles!

Sloane is the easiest pup her foster has ever cared for—she's fully house-trained, crate-trained (though she’d rather be snuggled up with you!), and loves car rides, gentle walks, and cozying up with her favorite people. She’s a loyal, affectionate girl who’s happy just being by your side.

She’s currently thriving in her foster home and is healthy, happy, and ready to find her forever family! While she prefers the company of humans over rambunctious playmates, she can coexist with other dogs who respect her space.

Sloane’s foster can only care for her until April 16, and we’d love to find her a loving home before then. Could you be the one to give this little lowrider the happy ending she deserves? She’s nearby and available to meet anytime — no appointment needed!

Our adoption requirements are as follows:

We encourage that all members of the family come and visit with the animal (especially children). We do not adopt pets as gifts.

Homes that currently own one or more dogs and are looking for another will have to complete a dog meeting to ascertain compatibility.

More about this shelter

At Darbster Rescue, our goal is to place kittens, cats, and dogs with great, forever homes in New England. The pets are primarily from South Florida and other southern states where the euthanasia rates are very high. Our shelters are in New Hampshire which has a strong demand for pets relative to supply and where shelters like ours are strictly no kill operations. Our animals will go to their new homes spayed or neutered, UTD on shots and a clean bill of health from FL and NH. We are here to help everyone look for the perfect match for themselves and their family.
