My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

vetting complete

Beau is a chubby, happy little one who came to DRoH because his human went into a home that doesn't allow dogs. He sleeps well during the night in his crate or on his little bed next to his foster human's bed. He likes to walk on a leash and play with his 4-legged foster sister. He is a little shy at first but he is opening up to the family! He fond of his foster mom but prefers the men in the house and gets along well with the 13 y/o human teen. He is housetrained and happy to poop and pee outside!  Beau is currently 21 lbs and should be 14 lbs.  Are you ready to be this sweet boy's family?

More about this rescue

We have one sole purpose and that is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home Dachshunds in need of a second chance at life and love. We rescue purebred (and a few mixed) dachshunds from pounds and shelters. Some have had a wonderful life but were dumped by their only family at a shelter for no reason at all, while others have been abused, abandoned, neglected and starved of food and human affection their entire life. We believe there is a home somewhere for every dog rescued; some just take a little longer to find.
