Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hanna was part of a whole litter dumped on the highway...2 of them were decease by the time the rescue found them...but we got the 2 remaining girls. And they are beauties! Hanna is friendly, outgoing, loves playtime with other dogs. She's ok in a crate and ok on a leash. But her best life is with her people....if you have treats anyway. Otherwise our girl is out chasing balls. Her love of squeak toys in legendary. Got a beach or lake? This is your water girl! No water near by? She will settle for a large water dish! Got a knobby ball? She's yours for life!
Seriously...great family dog potential!

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Applications must be approved prior to meet and greets for fostered dogs.

2.
Approve Application

A processor will call you, check your references. Please make sure your vet has permission to speak to the processor.

3.
Pay Fee

Once approved and your pet selected, payment instructions will be provided.

Additional adoption info

Fees vary by pet, but all animals will be totally vetted and up to date. We do require an adoption contract. Home visits may be required. Fenced yards unless prior approval is mandatory. References required. Volunteer run rescue that is the only rescue in 3 counties that do not have animal control of any kind...your calls will be answered but due to rural area may not always receive signal. Best contact is by text or email.

Payment plans available upon request.

Transportation provided to the Maritimes every 6 weeks.

BMAR is a No-Kill facility: a place of safety for healthy adoptable animals, a home for the homeless, a haven for the mistreated, neglected, or abused animals of Sabine & surrounding counties. BMAR also runs a sanctuary for those deemed unadoptible due to medical and behavior issues.

100% Volunteer Rescue. We have no animal control, Humane Society, or SPCA operating in our area leaving animals in dire straights.

BMAR is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty & abuse to all animals & livestock.

We currently only adopt to states and Canada where we have a network in place to monitor animals and help with problems.

BMAR backs it's dogs for life and will take back no matter how long and at any time if circumstance arise and you cannot keep your pet.
