Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Looking for a pint-sized best friend with a big heart? Meet Duke, a 10-pound chihuahua mix who’s ready to find his forever home! At just 1 to 2 years old, Duke has all the charm of a classic chihuahua—loyal, loving, and happiest when curled up in your lap.
Duke is still learning the ropes of being a dog, including leash walking and social skills, but he’s incredibly smart and eager to please. He can coexist with other dogs but may prefer to be the king of his castle as an only pup.
If you're looking for a devoted companion who will shower you with love and be your shadow, Duke is your guy!
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. We will only be looking at applications!
2. Please make sure you fill out our adoption application COMPLETELY. We may not be able to respond to applications that are not completely filled out with the proper information. Side note: on our applications, the more details you provide = the better.
3. We prefer applicants live within 60 miles of Closter, NJ. (Applicants who live farther away may still apply. However, please note we do prioritize local applications as we try our best to serve our local community first.)
4. Please respect our organization, our volunteers and our process. As a reminder, our organization is a nonprofit. We receive no money from the state. We have no paid employees! This is a polite reminder that we are doing our best to make the right decisions for the animals in our care. Thank you.
