Pookie is one of the many dogs abandoned by their owners at the shelter. He is very affectionate, though at first, he can be a bit protective because we don’t know how he was treated by his previous owner. However, as soon as he feels safe, he becomes very loving.
We are looking for a family that understands Pookie and can give him the love he deserves. Unfortunately, when dogs are abandoned at shelters, they feel depressed and confused because they don’t understand why their lives have changed. But as soon as they arrive at a loving home, they start to feel calmer and adapt to their new life.
It’s heartbreaking to know that dogs abandoned by their owners are closer to death than those found on the streets because shelters know that no one will come to claim them.
For this reason, we decided to save Pookie and give him a second chance—to find him a family that will love and adopt him.
All these innocent souls are looking for is love and patience. We hope to find a family for Pookie soon!
