My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pepper is a high-energy cat who loves to play fetch like a dog and then curl up in her human’s arms for the best cuddles. She’s the perfect mix of playful and affectionate!

Her journey started with quite a dramatic first impression. Not a fan of carriers, she made her feelings loud and clear when she arrived for her vaccines—so much so that our shelter manager, Ryan, barely made it out unscathed! From that moment, he was convinced she had a spicy streak.

When Pepper went into foster care, her foster parent braced for sass—but she had other plans. After a few initial hisses, she quickly transformed into the biggest lovebug. In no time, she was curling up in their arms, purring away as if she had always belonged there.

Pepper has endless energy and loves to run, jump, chase a laser pen, and—her favorite—play fetch! Toss a toy mouse or a spring toy, and she’ll bring it right back, ready for another round. But when playtime is over, all she wants is to snuggle up and sleep in someone’s arms. At night, she’s happy to curl up next to her human—and sometimes even burrow under the covers for extra coziness.

She’s looking for a home that appreciates both sides of her personality: a playful, zooming kitty who keeps things entertaining and a cuddlebug who loves to snooze with her favorite person. If you’re looking for a cat who will keep you on your toes and warm your heart, Pepper is the perfect match!
