My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cici is a sweet and sensitive 5-year-old miniature poodle weighing just 12 pounds. She came to us after being surrendered to another shelter, along with several other poodles from her breeder. While her past has left her feeling shy and nervous around strangers and new environments, Cici’s gentle spirit shines through once she feels safe. With a little patience, love, and a few tasty treats, she’ll blossom into a devoted and loving companion.

Cici is currently working on her potty training and leash walking, but she’ll need ongoing confidence-building to truly master walking on a leash like a pro. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a confident canine friend to show her the ropes. She’s fearful of cats and prefers to keep her distance, making her a great fit for a household with feline friends. Due to her timid nature, Cici would do best in a calm home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids who can respect her need for space and time to adjust.

If you’re looking for a tender-hearted poodle who just needs a little extra care to feel at home, Cici could be the perfect match for you!

Adoption fee is: $350

More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
