Meet Goliath, a stunning Great Dane with a heart as big as his name suggests. This gentle giant was found as a stray and brought to a shelter, where he quickly won over the staff with his kind and loving demeanor. They described him as sweet, gentle, and a total favorite during his stay.

Goliath may be dog-selective and seems to prefer a calm, low-stress environment. When he was found, he was involved in a scuffle with another dog, which the shelter staff believes may have been due to a female in heat nearby. He has since been tested with other dogs at the shelter, and while his introductions weren’t perfect (he showed some hesitation with his hackles raised), they were promising. Goliath might thrive as the only dog in the home or could potentially coexist with a calm and patient canine companion.

We’re still getting to know Goliath and learning more about his needs since rescuing him from the shelter on 2/11/25. What we do know is that he’s a sweet soul who’s looking for a loving forever home where he can feel safe and cherished.
