Rainy's story is a sad one that can be told all over the US. We believe she was at one point someone's pet, but the evidence of her living outside for years is very clear. She had trauma to one of her eyes, which has been removed, and her teeth were in horrible condition. We can only imagine the pain she was in.
On top of that, she had babies. Four beautiful babies that a Good Sam brought to us. They had been feeding Rainy, and trying to capture her but it wasn't until a skilled volunteer at Stray HELP got involved that they were finally able to capture her and get her the medical attention she needed.
Rainy may never quite come completely out of her shell, but she lives comfortably inside and is house trained.
