Sugar is part Maine Coon cat who has lived with me for the past 12 years or so. He really likes being outside and also likes to come indoors. He is quite cuddly and a purring machine when held. He does best being the only cat. He gets overstimulated with affection and lets you know this by taking a swipe.
For the past 5 years he has lived with a standard poodle with a prey drive that just can't seem to get used to the presence of a cat. I am moving in two months to a smaller home where Sugar won't have very much access to the outdoors and his movements inside the house will be limited due to the dog. I have thought about ways to make this work but ultimately I do not think it fair to Sugar. He is a sweet cat who would really benefit from having an owner who could love him unconditionally without an amped up dog nearby.
