Howdy! My name is Gunner and I'm a regal 4-5yr old male German Shepherd. I am located near Johnson City, Tennessee and will be available for transport to my forever home.

Quick Facts:
Age - 4-5yrs old
Home - home with a fenced in yard
Kids - would do fine with kids (7+)
Dogs - does well with other dogs, ideally a large female
Cats - NO cats
Training - needs standard obedience training

1. My previous owner was awful, she drove me to a nice neighborhood and dumped me out of the car, left me to fend for myself. Thanks to some nice people, I've been in a wonderful foster home.

2. I love attention! Especially to show off my Branch Manager skills (see my video)!

3. I love to go on walks, get belly rubs, give hugs, and to play. Even tho I'm a middle aged guy, I still have some playful energy.

4. I already know multiple commands! I know "sit, stay, down, speak, inside voice, shake, leave it, wait, easy (for taking a handheld treat). I could use a refresher on some obedience training, it will help us bond! Overall, I have nice manners.

5. I do great in public! I walk very nicely on a leash and am not bothered by other dogs, people, or the going-ons! I would love to go anywhere you can take me.

6. If you are looking for a loyal, smart, well behaved, active, friendly, and down right handsome new companion - I'm your guy!

***IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION***
-ALL dogs are fostered in TENNESSEE unless otherwise noted
-We do transport dogs to the east coast; a transport fee will apply
-All dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, & are spayed or neutered
-Puppies under 6-months of age will require a SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT, a portion of the adoption fee will be refunded upon documentation of the spay/neuter
-An application must be submitted before scheduling an appointment to meet a dog
-Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
-Due to the high volume of emails we receive, first priority will be given to those with submitted applications
-All rescue work is done by dedicated volunteers, please be respectful of their time
