Meet Diego, a sweet and delicate 8–10-year-old, 5-pound bundle of love who’s looking for his perfect lap to curl up on. Diego adores his human and shows his excitement with an adorable little spin whenever it’s mealtime or when he sees someone he loves.
Diego gets along well with other dogs and would thrive as a loyal companion in an all-adult household where he can enjoy calm and loving attention. He’ll be fully vetted, including neutering, while in our care, ensuring he’s ready to start his next chapter.

ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. We will only be looking at applications!
2. Please make sure you fill out our adoption application COMPLETELY. We may not be able to respond to applications that are not completely filled out with the proper information. Side note: on our applications, the more details you provide = the better.
3. We prefer applicants live within 60 miles of Closter, NJ. (Applicants who live farther away may still apply. However, please note we do prioritize local applications as we try our best to serve our local community first.)
4. Please respect our organization, our volunteers and our process. As a reminder, our organization is a nonprofit. We receive no money from the state. We have no paid employees! This is a polite reminder that we are doing our best to make the right decisions for the animals in our care. Thank you.
