Hey there! The name's Groucho, and boy, do I have a story to tell you. Life's thrown me a few curveballs lately, but things are finally looking up thanks to a kind soul who kept finding this handsome fellow (that's me!) on her porch. After months of our little dinner dates, I decided to upgrade our relationship status from "food provider" to "friend." Best decision ever!
Here's where it gets interesting - turns out I'm quite the mystery cat! My microchip revealed I'm a 2015 graduate of Animal Friends, where I found my first forever home right on the same street as my new friend. But life has a way of changing plans, doesn't it? My registered humans have since passed away, and through a family member's message, we learned my other person ended up behind bars. Talk about a rough patch!
Now, at the distinguished age of almost 11, I'm ready to trade in my street-smart credentials for some cozy indoor living. I'm what you might call a mature gentleman (think George Clooney, but with fur), and I'm looking for someone to spoil me rotten - I mean, appreciate my refined tastes. While I get along swimmingly with other cats, I'm still a bit iffy about dogs. Though who knows? With the right introduction and some patience, anything's possible!
The good news? I'm already fixed up and ready to go! My new friends even gave me the full spa treatment - vaccines updated and combo tested (negative, naturally - I'm a classy cat). All I need now is someone to share my Netflix password with... just kidding! But seriously, I'm just a laid-back dude looking for that special someone to love for the rest of my nine lives. Could that someone be you?

Someone will contact you to discuss the adoption process and set up a meet and greet with the animal you are interested in. All potential adopters will be subject to a home visit.
We have an adopt one get one special with our kitties as we feel all kitties should have a buddy!
Kittens (under 12 months) $100*
Cats (12 months and older) $65*
Senior cats $45*
All Felines are combo tested, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, spayed/neutered, rabies vaccine and have received Revolution for flea and earmite treatment.
Puppies (under 12 months) - $350*
Dog (12 months and older) - $225*
Senior Dogs - $100*
All Canines are HW tested (if over 6 months old), vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, spayed/neutered, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, are on monthly flea and heartworm prevention, and also have a current Butler County dog license.
*Joseph's Legacy reserves the right to raise or lower adoption fees on certain animals. These adjusted fees will normally be added to the individual animal's profile. If there are any concerns about the adoption fee please verify with the adoption coordinator that has contacted you.

Joseph's Legacy is a foster based non-profit animal rescue that advocates for animals that have been neglected and abused. We also help find homes for homeless and abandoned animals. We are comprised of and run by primarily volunteers, and rely heavily on the love and support from our community to continue our mission.
