My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Asher is a good-looking gray kitten with white paws and markings. He is very friendly, and will try to attract your attention by rubbing against your legs or sticking his pretty paws through the bars of his kennel. At almost a year old old, he is bigger and older than some of our kittens. But this means his personality is more fixed, and one can count on him being a loving, cuddly fellow as he grows older. Asher will make a great companion cat! He would prefer to not share his home with other cats, but people he loves, and dogs are fine

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
