Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sasha is a happy go lucky 1 year old, 17-pound Dachshund mix. She is looking for a home with a nice fenced yard for running and playing and a young playful dog to be her friend! She would also be a great companion for an individual living in an apartment. She does not bark, even when the big dogs in her foster home bark to let the parents know, someone is at the door.
SASHA will make a wonderful companion for someone looking for loving, loyal lap dog. She is very affectionate and enjoys having lots of attention. She stays close to her foster mom, sharing a couch with her. She takes a minute to warm up to strangers but she's had a lot of change in her life so that's to be expected! Once her foster mom lets her know everything is okay and she has a chance to observe the new person, she is perfectly fine.
SASHA gets along well with other dogs and loves to play and chase with one of the dogs in her foster home. She would be happiest in home with another young playful small dog. We have not had her around cats.
SASHA does well when the neighborhood kids stop by to say hi.
SASHA loves, loves to play with toys. She is also an expert at tearing the filling out of the stuffed animals her foster mom gives her. While she is fairly active, she also enjoys relaxing.
SASHA was well potty trained before she came to us and continues to be in her foster home. She is learning to use a dog door, and doing well at it.
SASHA is learning to walk on a leash by following her bigger dogs in her foster home. She also rides well in the car. She is very curious about the things that are happening outside of her fenced yard and we believe that if she had an opportunity she would try to go on an adventure, with or without her person!
At night SASHA sleeps snuggled in the big bed with her foster mom and foster fur siblings (both are 90-pounds!)
