My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I lived with children in my previous home.

I am a sweet, social, older gentleman, looking for the perfect forever home!

I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.

I am looking for a home with a patient person.

I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.

A Volunteer Wrote: I am far from alone in adoring this easy-going, patient, gentle boy, who has lived with a child and is described by his former owner as friendly and outgoing towards both humans and other dogs (he has no experience with cats). He's the calmest, dearest companion--fantastic on a leash, looking up with the warmest eyes often to check in. And while his former owner wasn't sure about his house-training, he kept his kennel spotless for seven hours between walks. Astro was understandably tentative when he first found himself in the shelter rather than a home, but he seems to understand we are all doing the best we can to love him until he finds a soft landing. Other volunteers compliment him as a "happy walker," a "happy boy," and a "happy walker," who is "very gentle" and has 'good energy." We can think of only one thing that would make him even happier, and that's you coming to meet him!
