Simon Was Born In A Puppy Mill. Thankfully, the breeder didn't have use for him giving Simon a chance out of the mill. We took him and now he is free to find his forever committed family. Simon is a very happy active spirited dog . He is high energy and a vocal fellow if he isn't getting what he wants! He will do best in a home with a yard, not an apartment or condo setting. Simon is happy to have a companion dog to play with. He is fine with cats and all people.
Simon needs to learn house manners. He has the basic skill but needs to be set on a routine. A belly band will be a good tool to keep him in check. He and his family would also benefit from a training class. Like all dogs he will need structure and a patient loving home. We recommend training for all dogs. You and your puppy/dog will create a stronger bond just for having gone to training.
Simon is a little over a year old and fully vetted, He has been neutered, has received age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, Subsequent vaccines are at the expense of his adopter, His adoption fee is $600. He is on the hunt for his own completely committed family, Little Dogs can live to be 20+ years old so he wants to be sure his family is all in 100% for better or for worse!
IF INTERESTED IN A PUPPY (UNDER 12 MONTHS OR A DOG WITHOUT FULL POTTY SKILLS): YOU MUST HAVE A FLEXIBLE WORK SCHEDULE OR SOMEONE HOME ALL DAY. PUPPIES NEED TO BE LET OUT TO POTTY OFTEN, THEY NEED SOCIALIZATION AND BONDING AND NEED TRAINING (HOUSETRAINING AND BEHAVIORAL TRAINING). IF YOU WORK LONG HOURS, HAVE A BUSY SOCIAL SCHEDULE OR NOT FINANCIALLY SECURE THEN A PUPPY/DOG IS NOT FOR YOU.

To adopt any animal from Rescue Tails we require a completed and verified adoption application. Once we can review the application, we can set up a meet and greet. We ask that all members of the household including pets are available for us and prospective pet to meet. Providing that goes well, we will set an appointment with you for a home visit. If all goes well we can proceed to the final step of finalizing the adoption.

Rescue Tails Animal Welfare is dedicated to rehoming pets from high kill shelters. We choose an animal one at a time and evaluate what issues caused the animal to end up in the shelter and address those issues. Most often we find behavioral issues and/or medical issues . We deal with whatever it is to the best of our ability and then place the pet up for adoption to a responsible pet guardian. It is our goal to prevent the pet from returning to the system again. We work with the pets and carefully match them to their forever homes.
