Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**This bunny has had her first vaccine for RHDV*
Breed: mini lop
Size: About 4 lbs full grown
DOB: About 1 1/2 years old as of January 2025
Reason in rescue: Shelley came to us from one of our rescue partners up in Erie. Unfortunately they don’t have the ability to spay their bunnies so we take some that we can get done and find them homes!
Personality: Shelley had a hard time of it prior to coming to us. This adorable little loppy girl reacted with intense fear when she arrived. She was hormonal and absolutely scared to death of hands. She would try and bite in self defense when we’d reach for her. Luckily she is getting better and now they her hormones are gone from her spay, she’s learning maybe the world isn’t so terrible after all. She still gets nervous with hands when you first reach for her, but her first impulse isn’t to bite anymore. Once you take her out of her cage she’ll happily sit in your lap and grind her teeth in happiness while you pet her. She doesn’t love being picked up but she tolerates it. She needs a quiet home with no kids and someone who can take their time with her to build trust, and maybe have a friendly bunny boy to bond with!
Friends: she is a good candidate to be bonded to a neutered male
Special needs: Shelley has what we call, lop eyes. Her eyes can be runny due to her facial shape, so she just needs regular wipes around her eyes so her skin doesn’t get irritated.
Requirements: Must be adopted as an indoor animal, with an as large as possible plastic bottomed cage or puppy pen (minimum 4' x 2' for a single, 4 x 4 for a pair). Adoption process: An adoption application must be filled out (http://www.judgespark.org/adoption-application.html), and approved by us. Then we will arrange a meeting time to see the animal of interest. A home visit is required prior to adoption (but can be waived if pictures or video are supplied of where the bunny will be living). Suggested adoption donation is $70 which includes her spay and microchip. Adoption fee will change to $100 when she gets her second vaccine on 2/25
