My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ben the Bengal was thought to be used for breeding before he was a stray. He was then taken into a shelter, so for all we know, he has never known love. He was taken into a single-person foster home, where he has made strides in learning how to be a house cat.

Ben is not only gorgeous but is very cuddly and full of personality. Ben likes to be curled up as closely as possible to you on the sofa and LOVES to crawl out under the covers when it’s time for bed. In fact, he will gladly stay there all night until you’re ready to get up. He is a chatty and energetic little leopard. He likes to follow people around, weaving through their legs while chirping. He is quite the conversationalist and the definition of a lap cat.

Ben likes to play with his laser pointer but will usually only play for a couple of minutes before realizing that he just wants pets and cuddles. Ben just has so much love to give and it is devastating to think that he has had no one to share it with for the first 5 year of his life.

He needs to find his person - someone who can give him the attention and stimulation that he deserves. If you’re looking for a Velcro companion who wants to be involved in everything you do, Ben the Bengal is for you!

Potential adopters need to know what to expect from a Bengal cat. Like most Bengals, Ben needs a lot of attention and will cry and bite when he is frustrated (which he often does when he wants attention). He needs an experienced cat owner (who knows how to develop trust with a kitty) without kids. Maybe another cat might help stimulate him, but that has not been put to the test.

Whoever adopts Ben needs to be aware of the breed and enjoy his wonderful (as well as challenging) qualities.

Ben has been in his foster home for less than a week and is already making wonderful progress. He is VERY human-motivated.
