Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Elliot is a special puppy looking for a special home. He is the smallest of the litter, but truly has a larger than life attitude. He loves to play with toys, other dogs, and bounce around. After playtime, all he wants to do is find a warm lap or a fuzzy blanket to snuggle up with. Elliot is great with kids and currently lives with other dogs. We do not know how he is with cats, however with his curious and playful nature, we anticipate he would do just fine with slow introductions .
Elliot has a medical condition called hydrocephalus. Hydrocephalus is a buildup of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in the brain. Life expectancy for dogs with hydrocephalus depends on several factors, including how severe symptoms are. Elliot tilts his head slightly to the right and intermittently holds up his back legs or hops while he's running. Although these symptoms don't slow this boy down - he still loves to play, prance, and run around. What we don't know is if these symptoms will remain the same or become more severe as he grows.
Right now, he is a happy, playful puppy who enjoys everything a typical puppy enjoys. Elliot deserves a special person to call his own, We are hoping to find a home willing to adopt Elliot and love him through whatever comes next. In turn, you will be rewarded with the happiest companion who is a true inspiration of living life to the fullest. If you think that might be you, or you want to learn more, please fill out an application today!
Elliot is estimated to be 4 months old and 2.5 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at https://safehandsrescue.org/adoption-process/ and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting.
We are also holding the following upcoming adoption events!
