My name is SINBAD!

Hi I’m Sinbad. I’m 5 years old and weigh 50 pounds as of May 6, 2024. I think I’m a lab mix!

So this is my story! In my short 5 years, I have already had 3 owners. Each one left me tied up, 24 hours/7 days a week. In fact, one of my owners abandoned me. They tied me to a fence and moved to the United States.

A wonderful angel rescued me. She placed me in a foster home, while I was prepped for a new forever home . In that foster home, I was attacked by a pack of dogs living in the residence. I panicked, so I ran away.

I spent a week in the streets trying to survive. It was very difficult since I am not familiar with the streets. Clearly, I have been tied up all my life

Fortunately, I was rescued by another angel and she contacted the woman who initially saved me and we were reunited.

I’m currently in training, learning what it’s like to be a dog and part of a family. I’m told that I am a very good boy. I am loving, affectionate but most of all grateful. All I need is to be loved.

Do you like to jog, take long walks or hiking? I would love to go with you too!

I get along with other dogs, but I would prefer to be an only dog so that I can be spoiled all by myself. I don’t know how I would react to cats. I have never been around them.

I would do better in a home with older kids because despite I am only 5 years old, I have alot of energy. I would not want to knock down a small child and fear of being tied up again.

I have so much love to give. I would really like to be a part of your family. Can you give me the opportunity?

PLEASE READ: This dog is currently located in Puerto Rico. Once an adopter is approved, we transport to New York/New Jersey! We adopt out of state as long as you are ok with picking up your dog in NY/NJ.

We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority.

We ask that you make sure if interested in a puppy or high energy breed that you are ready for this time consuming/ daily endeavor and have patience as this is a long term commitment (could be 15+ years).

Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it need for fulfillment. We recommend puppies receive 5 half hour walks (bare minimum) daily. Your ongoing time and day to day commitment is the most important thing is caring for a dog.

In addition we cannot guarantee the breed of any dog or expected adult size of puppy. Please also note that any dog that is "house trained" will still need patience in a new home, new people and new schedule. Please be ready to house train ANY dog you adopt! Thank you for understanding.
