My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to the delightful duo of JIN and MUGEN (pronounced MooGenn)!  They are male black panther adult siblings, who are almost identical, with a small white patch on their chests. Mugen is a bit smaller than Jin, and Jin has a distinguished kitty belly – so you can tell them apart. Jin is a sweet, gentle, and calm cat.  He loves to lay and roll to get his belly rubbed and loves playing with string toys.  He warms up very quickly and lets Mugen do most of the talking.  Mugen loves snuggle time, and will come right up to your chest to bump noses with you.  He loves his laser pointer toys and will use his little kitty voice to tell you all about everything he’s up to.  Mugen takes a little bit longer to warm up, but he soon becomes comfortable.  These boys grew up in a loving home, but their owner became ill and could no longer care for them. They are perfect for anyone looking for twin energy in cat form, and they would love to find a new forever home!

JIN and MUGEN have been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. These boys are on Hills Science Diet C/D kibble to insure their urinary tract health (but they can eat any type of canned food). You can meet JIN and MUGEN  at the cattery inside our partner PetSmart in North Eugene (2847 Chad Dr, across from Costco).  Please submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store, and an adoption counselor will contact you to set up a meet and greet. The $170 adoption fee for the pair allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1.  ID 2106-C0286R & 2106-C0287R

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. It is available on our website: https://catrescues.org/forms/cat-adoption-contract/ A paper copy is available at our adoption sites. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, have been de-wormed, treated with flea medication at intake, spayed or neutered, and have been microchipped and tested for felv/fiv tested.

Go meet their pets

All of our cats are located either in one of our adoption centers or a foster home. If you are in the neighborhood, you are more than welcome to drop by one of our adoption centers to view available animals. Our adoption centers are located in both Eugene PetSmart stores, Wags! Dog Emporium, and the Eugene-Springfield Cat Lounge. Feel free to call us at 541-225-4955 (option 1 for cats) and leave us your contact information and which specific companion animal or general animal type you are interested in and we’ll arrange to have you meet your potential new friend.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette, at Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd and the Eugene-Springfield Cat Lounge. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
