Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Romeo. He’s part dog, part caffeinated rocket. Romeo doesn’t walk — he teleports, leaving only a blur and the faint sound of zoomies in his wake. He’s fueled by adventure, fetch marathons, and your inability to catch him.
Romeo has been waiting far too long for his happily ever after, and we’re hoping you might be the one he’s been dreaming of. This longtime resident is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and full of love to give.
Romeo enjoys getting his energy out with a good run or some fun exercise—once he’s had his zoomies, his true personality shines. He transforms into the ultimate goofy companion, curling himself into the tiniest little ball imaginable just to be as close to his person as possible. If you’re looking for a dog who can be your adventure buddy and your snuggle superhero, Romeo is your guy.
He’s loyal, loving, and ready to finally have a place to call home. Romeo has been patient… now he just needs someone to choose him. 💕
If you are interested in meeting me, the shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday 11am – 5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Winter Hours). If you’d like to schedule an appointment, check out the pets’ profile on our website at newberganimals.com to fill out an application and email to frontdesk@newberganimals.com.Due to COVID-19, we are currently only open by appointment. We are receiving multiple applications on every pet. If we do not call you to do an adoption, please do not consider it a rejection. We simply have a lot of applications coming in and very limited staff.
Adoption Applications do not place holds on pets, nor do we do pre-adoptions.
Rather than doing first-come-first-serve adoptions, Newberg Animal Shelter considers all applications and chooses the home that is the best fit for that particular pet. We want the adoptions to be happy and successful for the family and the pets.
Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, and at least their first set of vaccines, and microchip.
