Meet Mars, a gentle and shy one-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing just 21 pounds. This sweet pup takes his time warming up to new people and appreciates a quiet, patient approach. Once he feels safe, his playful personality shines through. He loves to run and play chase—especially with his best friend, Saturn. The two dogs were found together and may be siblings. Mars seems to gain confidence when he’s around other dogs. Because of this, a home with a friendly canine companion could be a great match for him.
Mars walks well on a leash and enjoys his strolls, always ready to explore the world around him. While he isn’t a lap dog just yet, with time and encouragement, he may learn to enjoy close cuddles. He’s looking for an understanding family who will help him continue building his confidence and blossoming into his best self.
Mars’s $225 adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccinations, microchip, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital.
