Penne is an approx. 5 1/2-year-old possible border terrier mix weighing 12 1/2 pounds. She is a sweet, easy-going little girl. Penne was saved from a county shelter. She had been neglected so long and had severe ear infections as well as "cauliflower" skin growth in both outer ear areas, and she was presumed to be deaf. But after she came into Lil Rascals care, it was determined she was not deaf, but her hearing was only muffled due to the excess skin growth. She was put on months-long medications and vet care to clear the infection. Once that was cleared and some of the tissue had shrunk, she was a candidate for laser surgery to remove that excess tissue. Being the little trooper that she is, her surgery went great and she can now hear perfectly! She will need to stay on ear drops for a while and her adopter would have to bring her to a followup visit to our vet in one month. She is so much more interactive with her foster buddies. She even thinks she’s the boss, too cute! Penne is both dog and cat friendly, and loves going on walks. She jumps up and down and runs in circles, barking with her funky little voice. She’s also house trained. She's not a big toy gal, but loves Himalayan cheese sticks . Penne is a cuddly little love bug. She sleeps quietly in her foster mom‘s bed with her other siblings. She rides well in a car, gazing out the window. Penny loves to lay in the sun with her foster fur siblings and watch what’s going on outside. Penne is a fun, easy-going sweet little girl, she’s quiet and would do best in an all-adult home. If you’re looking for a little buddy to hang out with, Penne is your girl.
