My name is Nakia!

Nakia is a warm, affectionate, confident, easily approachable cat. In fact, she was accidentally rescued when community residents were trapping a mama cat and her kittens. Nakia happened to be in the area and walked straight into the carrier to come along for the journey. She often greets people by brushing up against them in her own lil hello. Nakia loves to find different corners of the room to tuck herself into an adorable cat nap, but also loves to play and run around! The wand is her favorite toy and she can also be found "hunting everyday items on her own, such as: pillow cases, feathers, shoelaces, and, most fun of all, nothing. There's nothing quite like waking up to her gently purring next to you and staring into your eyes with her beautiful, explorative yellow eyes. She is an incredibly sweet cat who thrives in a supportive, welcoming environment. She's smart and a great listener but is also very food motivated if you ever need to get her attention! Nakia has also been known to give cat kisses... what more is there to say!
