My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cow is a beautiful chocolate and white domestic shorthair that was found on someone's property. She was a "barn" cat but has decided the home life suits her best. She has an estimated birthdate of 01/18/2023.

Cow is very sweet, she's can be shy at first but will warm up quickly. She does not like being held but will cuddle when she feels like it. Cow is a great eater and loves to play, she's got a super kitten like personality.

Cow loves to play with all sorts of toys. Her favorite are balls, tunnels, treat puzzle toys and scratching posts.

Cow comes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $50 and includes her medical records and a sample of the food she's been eating. To be considered to adopt, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application.

Once your application has been received, we will evaluate it as a potential match for the given animal and, if your application is selected, we will proceed to call your references and then conclude with a home check and meet and greet scheduled by you at your home. For applicants out of area, the home check may be conducted via video call before the meet and greet.

More about this rescue

From the day we could talk we told our pets more than we ever told our parents. We took the long route to see the kitty in the window down the street. We stopped even when we were late to pet the dog. We grew up and we saw what the world does to those who can't defend themselves. We are here to change that.

Ethical rescue, including fully vetting every animal and carefully placing them all into homes matched to their physical and mental needs is what we do.

Respecting all life, both animal and human, while retaining an underlying goal of keeping animals in their homes. and fostering a sense of community between local shelters and rescues is how we do it.
