Ariel’s journey hasn’t been easy, but you’d never know it by her gentle, happy nature. This beautiful 10-year-old Lab came into the shelter as a stray, and to everyone’s surprise, she soon gave birth to a single puppy! Though she wasn’t interested in raising her little one, a loving foster stepped in to bottle-feed the baby, while Ariel was spayed and placed in a foster home where she could finally relax and be cared for.
Now, Ariel is soaking up all the love she’s been missing. She’s truly the perfect dog—calm, affectionate, and wonderful with other dogs, cats, and kids. Her favorite pastime? Lounging on the sofa, simply grateful for a warm home and a full belly. She’s an easygoing girl who just wants to be near her people and enjoy her golden years in comfort.

Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you.
The pets are delivered by a licensed transporter.

Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have.
NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes. They will be transported north after adoption.
If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement.
