Meet Buckeye!

He was found with a very badly injured leg on December 15th. He immediately went to urgent care then had an emergency leg amputation the next day. MCDP was told that his leg wound was old, and that his leg was basically dead. We were able to find a medical foster, and now Buckeye is in a home resting and healing!

Despite all of this Buckeye is loving, friendly and so so happy!
He has been non-reactive to dogs and hasn’t met a person that he doesn’t demand love from! We'd recommend no cats as he does like to chase. He is between 2-3 years old.

After filing out an adoption application, references are checked, a home visit is done, a conversation over the phone and meet and greets are done. If there is another animal in the home they will also need to do meet and greets. We do not have a set number of meetings, every situation is different.

We are a small group of people with a passion to help animals find a loving home. We do this by fully vetting the dog and making sure he is in good health. We socialize our dogs and we also provide training.
