My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dante! 🐾

Dante is a handsome 1.5-year-old Poodle weighing in at 54 pounds of pure love and energy. This sweet boy was found as a stray in the Houston area and brought to Camo Rescue by a kind-hearted Good Samaritan. Now, Dante is ready to find his forever home!

Dante is not only intelligent but also very food-motivated, which makes training a breeze. He’s working hard on mastering his potty and leash training and is making fantastic progress! With a consistent schedule and a bit of patience, he’ll have these skills perfected in no time. Dante is also learning commands like “sit” and “lay down,” showing off his eagerness to please and incredible potential.

With his puppy energy and larger size, Dante would thrive in an active home where he can get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. He’s dog-friendly and would enjoy having canine siblings to play with, but he’s equally happy as the only pup soaking up all the attention. Due to his enthusiasm and energy, Dante would do best in a home without small children.

If you’re looking for a loyal, energetic, and affectionate companion, Dante is your guy! 🐶❤️

More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
