Jagger von Collas is a stunning 5 month old German Shepherd puppy. Jaggar was rescued by Westside after he was abandoned and a Good Samaritan took him in. He was so excited to go to a foster home and meet his foster big brother, a 9 year old GSD. While at his foster home, he has been a perfect little gentleman. Jagger is learning basic commands, as well as how to play tug, fetch, and walk perfectly on leash. He's fully housebroken, and crate trained. Sweet Jagger is super snuggly, loves to sit next to you, and if you're a cuddle on the couch kinda person, he'd love to cuddle up and keep you cozy. This guy is adventurous, has the spirit of Indiana Jones, and has been lovingly nicknamed “Indy” by his family. Jagger loves finding new corners he hasn't sniffed out yet. He loves having companionship whether dog or human, and is a devoted friend. He'll make your house a home, and be the best addition you can make.

Based on our experience, Westside's current thinking is to usually match first-time shepherd owners with a mix versus a purebred shepherd. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
