Hi, my name is Sol! I’m a big sunny boy who is very loving to
everyone, dog or human! I am an 85, lb roughly 2 year old pitbull,
boxer, cane corso mix. I may look & sound intimidating, but I just want
to love everyone, even if they don’t understand! Put your face near
me, & I will lick it to show my love! I love to lay on you on the couch or
on the bed to sleep & always want to be nearby. My favorite game is
keep away, or chasing other dogs up & down the fence. I love to play
with dogs or humans, but my foster family says I don’t realize how big
I am; but I mean well & just don’t know how to show it. I love to go for
short walks or runs, but I don’t have a lot of stamina, so I get tired
quickly.
I am good on leash but tend to get excited to see other humans or
dogs. I am fully vaccinated, neutered, house & crate trained, but I
would prefer to stay out with you.
My last family abandoned me at the dog park. I was starving, had skin
problems & was lethargic, but my sister still wanted to play. Since
getting lots of love, food & care I have fully recovered & am now
healthy, & happier than ever before!
Sol is a courtesy post. He is not in our program but we are helping with the rehoming process. He is bonded with Moon but can be adopted separately. No small children due to his size. Adoptions at bigloverescue.org.

Additional adoption info
We are extremely thorough with our adoption process. Our goal is to find the best fit for our dogs. We reserve the right to deny anyone a dog if we feel the applicant is not qualified or is not a good fit for the dog at our discretion. We require two personal references that we call to check character and get a recommendation on why or why not the applicant is a good candidate. Also, we call the vet reference to be sure the applicants current dog is current on vaccinations and heartworm prevention. The home check is mandatory to be sure the applicant lives where they say they live and the pet will live in a safe environment.

More about this rescue
The Charity's specific purpose is to rescue lost or abandoned dogs from shelters, from the streets or from owners who are no longer able to care for them. Our goal is to prevent further euthanasia of these animals. All dogs receive medical care and behavioral training as needed to prepare them for a new home.
We do not have a facility.
All of our dogs are in foster homes.
The charity will also focus on efforts to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their animals to prevent the overpopulation of animals in Texas.
Our adoption fee is $300 which includes alteration, vaccines, microchip, training program in some cases & any medical treatments needed for each dog to be 100% healthy and successful in a home. Must have an approved application to set up a meet and greet.
