Hello, my name is Moon, but I have a few nicknames such as little
moon or little miss! I am a playful, silly, 60 lb girl, who is roughly 2
years old. I am a pitbull, boxer cane corso mix, although I don’t look it!
My foster family DNA tested me to find out! I am very loving but am a
bit shy & nervous at first. Once I open up to you, I will give you small
kisses & snuggle up to you in bed to say good morning! I am very
excitable, & always happy to see you return home! I love going for
runs & need to get my exercise, as not to get my energy out in the
house. I am very playful, & my silliness comes out fully when I play! I
love other dogs but am a bit nervous since a mean dog bit me when I
wanted to play.
I am still working on leash etiquette but want to learn. I am fully
vaccinated, house & crate trained, but often prefer to sleep in my
kennel, so long as it’s comfy!
My last family abandoned me at the dog park. I was starving & had
skin problems but still wanted to play with my brother. Since getting
lots of love, food & care I have fully recovered & am now healthy, &
happier than ever before!
Moon is a courtesy post. She is not in our program but we are helping with the adoption process. She is bonded with Sol but can be adopted separately. No small children due to her size. Applications at bigloverescue.org.

Additional adoption info
We are extremely thorough with our adoption process. Our goal is to find the best fit for our dogs. We reserve the right to deny anyone a dog if we feel the applicant is not qualified or is not a good fit for the dog at our discretion. We require two personal references that we call to check character and get a recommendation on why or why not the applicant is a good candidate. Also, we call the vet reference to be sure the applicants current dog is current on vaccinations and heartworm prevention. The home check is mandatory to be sure the applicant lives where they say they live and the pet will live in a safe environment.

More about this rescue
The Charity's specific purpose is to rescue lost or abandoned dogs from shelters, from the streets or from owners who are no longer able to care for them. Our goal is to prevent further euthanasia of these animals. All dogs receive medical care and behavioral training as needed to prepare them for a new home.
We do not have a facility.
All of our dogs are in foster homes.
The charity will also focus on efforts to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their animals to prevent the overpopulation of animals in Texas.
Our adoption fee is $300 which includes alteration, vaccines, microchip, training program in some cases & any medical treatments needed for each dog to be 100% healthy and successful in a home. Must have an approved application to set up a meet and greet.
