My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our adoption fees have dropped until March 1, 2025 in honor of puppy love, and we're practically bursting with excitement to introduce you to your new best friend! 💕

🐾 Puppies – Now just $250 (was $300)!
They’ll steal your heart faster than you can say "fetch!"

Oh, puppies...adorable little mischief machines, right? Don’t get me wrong, I love them, but I’d take a well-trained senior over a puppy any day—because, let’s face it, I’d rather not have my sanity completely obliterated. But hey, if a puppy is even making me second-guess that decision, they must be pretty darn special. So, without further ado, meet Punt from our Super Bowl 25 litter! Trust me, he’s worth the mental breakdown.

Meet Punt, a six-week-old male Great Pyrenees mix, who clearly took "adorable" as a personal challenge. Punt came to us after his mom was hit by a car and his previous owner decided he and his siblings deserved better than their current situation and surrendered them to us. And let’s just talk about how unfairly adorable this little fluffball is. I mean, those eyebrows. Like, really? Is this some kind of conspiracy to make all of us fall in love instantly? Like, who does he think he is, looking like he’s ready to star in a shampoo commercial? He’s got the fluff, the markings, and now, these show-stealing eyebrows. It’s honestly unfair. He has the kind of personality that’s just begging for hugs and cuddles...so, good luck saying no to that face. Honestly, we’re all doomed.

Not only does Punt have the looks that could launch a thousand ships (or at least get you to stop scrolling on pet adoption websites), but he also comes with a stellar personality. He’s great with other dogs, loves kids—though, just a friendly reminder, he’s still a puppy. The kiddos and parents need to understand that sometimes he’s going to act like... well, a puppy. And don’t even get me started on his cat skills—Punt would probably give a cat one look, roll his eyes at their “I run the house” attitude (because, spoiler alert, he is the true king here), and then just move on like he has better things to do. Which, let's be honest, he probably does.

Punt is young enough to really go either way with his new family, so if you’re into being active and constantly out doing stuff, guess what? He’s ready to become your trusty sidekick. With his looks and personality, he’d probably become the neighborhood superstar, signing autographs and making everyone else’s dogs jealous. But hold your horses—before you get to that point, you need to understand that Punt can’t just show up and shine on his own. You’re going to have to help him, like a personal puppy trainer, guiding him through life’s little lessons. And speaking of lessons, Punt has very specific ideas about leashes. Currently, he thinks they’re either a chew toy or a tool for the world’s most intense game of tug-of-war. So, if you dare accept the challenge of bringing this fluffball home, get ready to play the "Puppy Olympics." He’s going to keep you on your toes in the best way. Now, if you're more of a laid-back household and prefer to embrace the couch potato life (but still have a dog buddy for Punt to play with or a yard for him to zoom around in), he’s totally cool with that. Just don’t think you can get out of training him. He may be happy lounging, but training is still part of the package, my friend. So, ready to roll with the fluffball? Better start stretching.

Even if you’re a certified house hermit who has zero interest in interacting with the outside world, you’ll still have to drag yourself out of your cave every now and then to socialize this little guy. Can you imagine what would happen if Punt was just locked away inside, never seeing anything new? Oh, it wouldn’t be pretty. You’d have an antisocial dog with a laundry list of behavioral issues that would make your head spin. And, trust me, you don’t want that. So, get outside, soak up some sunshine, and expose this little fluffball to the world before he gets too comfortable in his I’m too big to listen phase.

But don’t worry, you won’t be out there every day, braving the harsh world with your puppy in tow. When you’re home, you’ll have the delightful task of working with Punt on the essentials. First up: potty training. Yep, get ready to have the conversation about “outside = bathroom” like 17 times a day, because this little guy’s still figuring it out. Next, you’ll need to teach him the difference between things he can chew on (dog toys, please) and things he definitely cannot chew on (your shoes, remotes, and pretty much any other low-lying thing). Oh, and let’s not forget about helping him become the best boy he can be. That means teaching him some manners because right now, he’s probably under the impression that everything in your house exists solely for his entertainment. It’s a lot of work, but hey, in the end, you’ll have a lovable, well-rounded dog that even your grandma will brag about.

So, if you’ve managed to survive reading this bio and are still thinking, “Yeah, I can totally handle this fluffball with the most charming eyebrows in the world,” then it’s time to make it official. To bring Punt into your home, you’ll need to fill out an adoption application at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app (because, you know, we don’t just hand these guys out to anyone with a pulse). Once you’ve done that, we’ll send it over to his foster family. Oh, and keep in mind, you’ll need to pick him up in Broken Arrow, OK—because we don’t deliver. He won’t be ready to go home until around the end of February when he’s a sophisticated 9-week-old gentleman. So, mark your calendars, people. Punt’s got an arrival date, and you’re about to be blessed with a whole lot of fluff and fun.
