My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

October is a sensitive soul. He came into the shelter with his brother Benni (also with Dog Coalition!) and another dog we think was his sister who was adopted, but young October was the shyest of the 3. At a little over a year old and 55lbs, he learns quickly, he just needs some quiet and some time.

He loves soft and cozy things very much giving Flower the Skunk in Bambi cuddling his own tail. He is crate, leash and house trained and has beautiful coloring, expressive, emotional brown eyes. One ear always perked. Fascinated by washing machines. The human world is completely new to him, but he will wag his little tail when he gets a chin scratch.

October will need someone to go slow, but will be the most sweet, loyal, boy when given time to warm up and get comfortable.

More about this rescue

We are a group of volunteers and rescuers combining our skills to help fosters get a dog out of the shelter! The dogs in our program have begun house, crate, and leash training. Our fosters follow a handful of house rules. The transition to a new home is easiest for your dog when these structures are carried over for some time and privileges are gradually introduced. This helps minimize anxiety and behavioral issues.
