Coal is a handsome 4 year old German Shepherd with a heart full of love and a strong spirit waiting to shine. After overcoming a rough start with a past owner who didn’t understand him, Coal is now looking for a home where he can shine. Coal is incredibly smart and eager to learn. His love of food makes him highly motivated to train, however it does make him protective of his food. He is a friendly boy who enjoys the company of other dogs and thrives on positive interaction. He knows sit, lie down and paw. He needs training on the leash.

One of Coal’s favorite pastimes is playing catch and chase a ball. He has a quirky habit of carrying sticks in his mouth during walks which never fails to bring a smile to those around him. He is currently living peacefully in a foster home with two Corgis and chickens. Coal would do best in a home that understands his needs and can provide him with plenty of love, playtime, and tasty treats. If you are looking for a loyal and adventure loving companion, Coal is the perfect match.

Coal is microchipped, vaccinated and also neutered. Upon adoption of Coal you will receive a full on- and off-leash private lesson package from The K-9 Academy in Alta Vista.
