My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mari: The Queen of Cozy (and Bathroom Surveillance)

Looking for a feline companion who knows how to make herself at home? Meet Mari, a 2 ½-year-old brown tiger beauty who has turned our shelter into her personal kingdom- one cozy spot at a time.

Mari has been with us for almost one year, carefully curating her collection of favorite lounging locations, including-most notably-the top of our bathroom cabinet. That's right. If you adopt Mari, your once peaceful bathroom breaks will come with an audience of one. But don't worry, she's just silently judging (and maybe admiring) you from above.

While Mari doesn't mind other cats, she's not really into the whole "BFF" thing. She's more of a **mysterious independent queen** who prefers to observe from her chosen throne. She's soft, she's stunning, and she has **adorable white-tipped toes**, which, let's be honest, is reason enough to bring her home.

*Why You Need Mari in Your Life:
Zero litter box shame**-she handles her business with confidence.
Effortlessly elegant -brown tiger stripes white manicured toes = supermodel
material.
Bathroom guardian duties included - who needs privacy anyway?
Loyal, but not clingy -she'll love you, but she'll also enjoy her own space.

This ladies a catch. Don't let her be the one that got away!

More about this shelter

The Cat Welfare Association was founded in 1945 by a small group of people who saw the need for an organization designed specifically to help the many stray and abused cats in the Columbus area. We are a non-profit organization with the mission of promoting better care and understanding of cats while providing for the physical welfare of homeless cats and kittens.

The cats taken into our care are strays and frequently have been abused or injured. We give them plenty of tender loving care along with any necessary medical treatment they might need. Our shelter provides a home for these cats and kittens until they are adopted-- whether it be for a short time or if they live out their lives here.
