My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Please read the entire bio before submitting an application.  Thank you!**

King is a petite one year old Jack Russell Terrier who was living as a stray on the streets of Cincinnati. Although he has a lot of hesitation about people, he has opened up and learned to trust his foster mom.  King is a true velcro dog, happiest when snuggled up with his person or following them around the house. He also enjoys playing with toys, zooming around the backyard, roughhousing with his canine siblings, and napping in the sun with the cats.

King is making great strides in warming up to strangers but remains cautious, especially around men. While he may bark or retreat when feeling uncertain, he has never shown aggression. He is potty trained and crate trained but still does not walk on a leash, so he will need continued patience and support in that area.

King’s ideal home is one where he feels secure, can adjust at his own pace, and has a patient, understanding owner committed to earning his trust. He would benefit from having another dog in the home to look to for reassurance and guidance. Because of his sensitive nature, he would do best in a child-free home. With time and love, King has the potential to become an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion.

King does require a home with a fenced yard and he would prefer to be in a home with another dog companion. He is neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped. His adoption fee is $300.00.

King needs a home with a female adopter.  He can adapt to having a man in the home but it’s imperative that it’s not a male only home as he is fearful of men. King also needs another dog in the home.
