Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Raelynn came to us as an owner surrender. Raelynn came in with 4 other standard poodles that have already been adopted. It was discovered when we had her groomed that Raelynn was pregnant, which is why we still have her. She birthed 4 beautiful pups who have also found homes and now its her turn. The pups were surrendered because the owner became overwhelmed and could no longer care for them. All of the dogs were living in an RV with a child and the owner. It just became too much and they decided it would be in the dog's best interest to find them new homes. Raelynn is very friendly and active. She is really a velcro dog and wants to be with you all of the time. She would be a great walking partner or adventure taker. Raelynn wants to be near you and will follow you everywhere. She seems to love everyone and has just made himself right at home with us and the other dogs. She seems to do well in the house and has not tried getting on the counters or in the trash (so far). She is mostly housetrained but sometimes still has accidents, usually overnight. Raelynn is crate trained but she does not really like being in one. Raelynn does walk well on a leash and rode well to the vet. Raelynn was extremely matted when she first arrived and could stand another grooming soon. We think she would do well in pretty much any household. She would probably prefer someone who could be home most of the time but she doesn't appear to have separation anxiety if you can't be with her every minute. We think she will be a wonderful companion, especially for a more active household/family!
Raelynn saw the vet on 1/14/25 and was found to have an ear infection on her exam. She did receive Claro Otic for her ear infection. She also tested negative on her heartworm test but was positive for hookworms on her fecal so we have given her a Drontal for the hookworms. She may need a follow up in 3 weeks. She has been started on Simparica Trio monthly also for flea control and heartworm prevention. Raelynn weighed 49.4 pounds as of 1/28/25; when she was spayed.
If interested in giving Raelynn her forever home, please submit your interest and your adoption application via email or text ONLY to 352-215-3260 (phone calls will not be answered or returned from this number). Raelynn's adoption fee will be $400 to help cover the cost of her vetting and daily care while with us. We will only consider applicants who complete the adoption application and will determine whether the applicant would be a good fit for Raelynn based on the info provided in the application. If we feel that you will be a good match for her, we will set up a meet and greet appointment with you
