Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Location Decatur, IL
Application at leiashope.org
Calvin Klein is a friendly and gorgeous guy! He is a mix of golden retriever and cavalier. He weighs approx 45-50 lbs. He should not get much bigger.
Calvin is enjoying being in a home and all the things a home life offers. He likes to be up on the couch and take naps, play with other dogs and LOVES attention from his foster family!
Calvin is learning to walk on a leash but still a little unsure about it. He can get scared with unfamiliar sounds and quick movement but he recovers fast. He is the best of both breeds and likes to be right by his human's side. He has a happy disposition and will make a family happy!
Calvin's adoption is $500. He is microchipped, current on vaccines, and on monthly flea and heart worm prevention. He will be neutered soon and can go home shortly after. Applications at leiashope.org.
NOTE: WE ARE A VOLUNTEER RAN ORGANIZATION AND OUR APPLICATION PROCESS CAN TAKE 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS, DEPENDING ON OUR AVAILIBILITY AND YOUR REFERENCES.
ALL OF OUR DOGS ARE IN FOSTER HOMES AND NOT AT A CENTRAL LOCATION. AN APPROVED APPLICATION IS REQUIRED BEFORE WE DO MEET AND GREETS.
WE DO NOT SHIP OR TRANSPORT DOGS. YOU MUST COME TO THE LOCATION OF THE DOG TO MEET AND ADOPT.
Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energy!

We are a licensed foster based rescue. We rescue mostly seniors and special need dogs as these are normally the first to be euthanized in shelters.
Our Mission:
To rescue, rehabilitate and rehome unwanted dogs and find the best home for each dog in our care. Our belief is all healthy and treatable dogs, regardless of breed or age, have the right to life, happiness, and love.
