Meet Cole, a 10-12 year old, 10 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered.
Say hello to Cole, one of the first United Yorkie Rescue rescues of 2025. Cole found himself as a stray drop off at a Fort Worth shelter on Christmas Eve. He had to go through a stray hold to enable his owners to find him. Well, they never showed up. The shelter reached out to UYR and asked if we could help this little guy out. How could we say no to this little gentle soul? Well at the shelter, he was given his heartworm test which was negative plus given all of his required adult vaccinations and had a microchip implanted and he started his heartworm and flea and tick preventative and is in pretty good health for what their guesstimating his age to be.
I can tell as the days go by that this guy was a family pet. He nuzzles up to you with his nose and pushes your arm to let you know he wants attention and to be petted. He goes to the back door when he wants to go outside and he gets very excited at supper time. He quickly learned where his special feeding spot was. He may have been a one person pup at one time in his life as he quickly attached himself to me.
