Meet Calliope the Goddess!

Calliope is a 10-year-old gray tabby with a heart as big as her adorable, chunky belly! This sweet and sassy lady found herself in need of a new home through no fault of her own—her beloved owner is heading off to serve in the military and, unfortunately, boot camp isn’t cat-friendly.

Fully vetted and ready for her next adventure, Calliope is the ultimate low-maintenance companion. She’s as mellow as they come, happy to lounge on the couch, bask in the sunshine, or perch on a cat tree (if it’s not too much effort). While she may need to shed a few pounds, she’s hoping for a human who will play with her and help her on her weight-loss journey.

Calliope gets along with everyone—cats, dogs, and humans alike! She’s affectionate, gentle, and would love a quiet home where she can be adored like the goddess she is.

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
